Welcome to my website.

Lets have a look at some of my personal thoughts about my work and then please read on to familiarise yourself with my experience in the printing industry.

A few random ethics I work to:
Someone said to me when I stared out as a Print broker in 2003 ‘So you want to be the most successful Print Broker in Auckland’ to which I very quickly replied ‘No, I want to have the respect of my clients and suppliers alike and if I can make a living out of Print I would be happy’

My work ethic is simple. There is only one way of doing a job, its not my way or John from the print shop from down the roads way, its simply THE RIGHT WAY.

From my early years to now I always treat any job with the same priority. Whether it’s a business card, an invite for a wedding, a multi page prospectus or an envelope, it has the be treated like its important because it matters to my client. So it matters to me!

Communication is one of the most important things in any relationship. I take pride in communicating directly and promptly with my clients if a problem ever crops up.

Honesty is the best policy.

As a Print Broker I have access to pretty much any printing press or branded product in the market. Its my job to bring clients and suppliers together to achieve the best results.

Humble beginnings:
I started my journey in the printing industry as a 16 year old and excelled at everything I put my hand to. I was very fortunate and was trained in an environment where I started at the bottom and worked my way up. I made tea and coffee’s for the staff at break times and worked hard wrapping parcels, stacking pallets of paper, taking out the bins and using the guillotine. My next step was to operate letter press machines where I learned embossing, kisscutting, multi plunger numbering  and basic 1 colour printing with lead type and lino blocks. From there I learned how to make film for the offset printers then offset plates and was finally given a go on a single colour offset press. Before long I had proven myself and was running a 4 colour process press, was the factory foreman, ordering stock and overseeing the production and inventory of over 300 products that were stored, ordered and shipped nationwide. After 10 years at my 1st job I took a well-deserved break and travelled around the USA for 3 months before coming home and taking a job as a factory manager at a small print shop in Glenfield. Reaching my peak there I took a little more time out and found myself working in Dunedin for a short time as a guillotine operator and enjoying the experience of exploring the far south. Heading back to Auckland I took a job back on a printing press. Again I made light work of what was expected of me and before long I was asked to apply for an account management & sales position. I found myself in an office environment where I was quoting, creating job bags, ordering stock and inks and raising the bar with my sales figures month after month. After 7 years I was looking for a new challenge and one of my clients asked me to join him as a 50% partner of an existing Print broking business. I jumped at the opportunity and enjoyed a 10 year partnership along with some challenges through a recession and out the other side.
On April 1st 2015 I felt ready to move on and to establish my own business and haven’t looked back since.

My experience is diverse and valuable. It gave me the spring board to the success I enjoy.
